Robert Aude Associates, Inc., AIA is the successor firm to founding partners who originated the Clearwater practice in 1928. The firm’s lineage reads as follows:

Robert
Aude Associates, Inc., AIA is an established Architectural and Planning firm with history dating to 1928. Mr. Roy Wakeling, AIA founded the Clearwater firm in that year, to be followed by a succession of 6 total partners through the present day. The firm has designed projects as far south as Barbados in the West Indies and as far north as North Carolina. They have established presence throughout the State of Florida, and are recognized as an innovator in multi disciplinary design. The firm provides services which encompass all aspects of architecture, interior architecture, interior design, master planning, building forensic pathology diagnostics and intervention, building condition appraisals, construction administration, and engineering. Projects include new developments, additions, renovations, and historic restoration. Their projects have included all building types and sizes, including high tech industrial, governmental, education, religious, corporate and retail facilities. The firm also designs distinctive custom single family residential projects.
The firm’s highly qualified staff has received awards for Design Excellence presented by the regional chapter of the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects, (FAIA). Additionally, the firm was awarded the distinctive NAIOP Judges Choice Award Best of the Best for the Tampa Bay area for their design of the
Crum Services, Inc. (formerly IMR global) world headquarters in Clearwater.
The firm has also won similar awards and acclaim for the
Mahaffey Theater Re-design in St. Petersburg, FL and for
the Operation PAR facility in Clearwater, FL. The firm’s cutting edge designs have twice been published internationally since December of 2000.

Mr. Aude moved to Clearwater in 1973 as
Florida Design Director for a 100 person A/E
firm based in Columbus, Ohio. As director, his
experience involved large scale educational,
judicial, and office projects, including high
rise structures. Since 1987, he has practiced as
partner and principal in the Clearwater based
firm of Williams Architects, culminating with
formation of Aude, Shand & Williams, Inc. in
1994 and Robert Aude Associates, Inc., AIA from
2007 to present.
